RACV Cape Schank Golf Resort



A famous Trent Jones designed golf course on the sand belt with villas located in the golf course grounds, situated on the southern tip of the Mornington Peninsula.


A “members resort” brought special management considerations. The Club membership received special considerations that ensured their loyalty to the brand. RACV was a self insurer, The detailed safety and compliance standards required best practice at all times.

A well regarded venue for conferences, the resort had not leveraged opportunities in the wedding market. Some of the biggest improvements to revenue were delivered from this market niche and the service and product offerings to increase appeal to the bride and grooms.

By decreasing tee off times for each round of golf to an industry standard also delivered more income in the peak periods for golfers. An immediate, effective strategy that cost nothing to implement.

Karen undertook a significant staff training program with the service teams and the Department Heads to improve team work and moral, and deliver improved guest service outcomes whilst concurrently delivering improved revenues. Without adversely impacting membership value.
